This beautiful minimalist drawing by North-West based artist Louise Potter depicts the handsome facade of Manchester Town Hall. Manchester Town Hall in Albert Square is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. Regarded as one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the United Kingdom, it is also one of the most important Grade One listed buildings in England.
The Town Hall celebrated its 140th birthday in 2017 and a major refurbishment project started the follwing year, due to be completed in 2024.
Louise Potter, is a Liverpool based artist and illustrator with a passion for buildings, places and form. With a background in architectural interior design, she rediscovered her passion for painting, printing and drawing. She works in traditional watercolour and ink as well as digitally, drawing on an iPad.
