The Etihad was built in 2002 to hold the commonwealth games and went on to become the homeground for Man City after they moved there from Maine Road in 2003.

Michelle Taube completed a degree in Illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she specialised in watercolour painting and children’s book illustration. She was then to spend several years teaching in schools and colleges, whilst at the same time producing and selling her work.

Michelle became best known for her watercolour paintings of Hale Village, depicting scenes of local shops and people. It was whilst doing these paintings that she won IJAYA Young Artist of the Year in 2007, giving her the opportunity to exhibit at Christies’s auction House in London.
