This eclectic view of Manchester’s rich cultural landscape, brings together famous landmarks and pop culture references synonymous with the city. Old Trafford, The Ritz, Chinatown and Coronation Street's The Rovers Return Inn all make an appearance in this playful painting by Stockport based artist Lucy Burgess.

Iconic venues from the past like the Hacienda sit alongside blasts-from-the-past like 70s Independent radio station Piccadilly Radio 261, and the now vintage yellow and brown buses.

Lucy Burgess is a self-taught artist from Bramhall, Stockport. She has exhibited in Stockport art gallery and is regularly featured in Stockport’s biggest tourist attractions. Her work reflects on her own personal memories:

‘I truly believe art should make you think, feel and reminisce - it doesn't have to match the couch as the old saying goes. Much of my work plays on the memories I share with many communities across Stockport; which marked the start of an exciting future for me and my art.’

Our standard production time for prints is 3 days before dispatch. Framed prints have a 10 day lead time prior to dispatch.

Dimensions
