The distinctive sloping form of the iconic URBIS building, home to the National Football Museum, is the focus of this dynamic photograph by local artist Craig Barker. Originally based in Preston, Lancashire, before moving to Manchester in 2012, the museum preserves, conserves and displays important collections of football memorabilia.

Also featured in this image are the popular entertainment venue 'Printworks' which offers a cinema, clubs, bars and restaurants as well as the The Corn Exchange, a historic shopping mall with a unique triangular shape.

In the foreground, daily commuters can be seen making their way to and from work sheltering themselves from the rain as they go.

Craig Barker describes his work as Fine-art photography. He writes: ‘As I create my work in line with my vision. I strive to create something visually powerful, that resonates with me and hopefully with others who view my work.’
