Buying / Size Guide

This beautiful mixed media work shows one of Oxford road’s most recognisable landmarks, the Kimpton Clock Tower hotel, formerly the Palace Hotel. The Grade II listed building was built in 1891 originally acting as the Refuge Assurance building, and has since been converted into a glamorous hotel, bar and restaurant.

Michelle Taube is an artist based in Manchester, best known for her architectural and football themed work. Her process involves the layering of oil paints, which is combined with collage and photography, allowing for a decorative effect.

Taube completed a degree in Illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she specialised in watercolour painting and children’s book illustration. She won the IJAYA Young Artist of the Year award in 2007, giving her the opportunity to exhibit at Christie's auction House in London.
