As a freelance photographer Len Grant documented Manchester and Salford’s regeneration for over 30 years. He made dozens and books and exhibitions about the construction of landmark buildings and of neighbourhood renewal. He has since swapped his camera for a sketchbook and pen and now tells stories of his home city through urban sketching. Drawn on location from his little stool or from a café table, his quirky drawings of people and places offer a fresh perspective on city life.
